Spätestens nach diesem Satz war ich vollends mit dem Finale der Reihe zufrieden: Hier triffst die junge Heldin dieser Kinderbuchreihe offensichtlich auf den großen Cthulhu. Es wird im Buch nie angesprochen und ich bezweifle auch eher, dass die Autorin diese Parallele im Kopf hatte, aber ich interpretiere es gern auf diese Weise. Denn was will man mehr, wenn man das ganze illustrieren soll? :)
(Aber Eltern, keine Sorge, es ist trotzdem eine sehr kindgerechte Erzählung (siehe die Amazon-Rezensionen ;)
Hier der Entwurf und die fertig Buchillu... und weil's so schön ist: coloriert!
"... She got the impression of thousands of creatures charging towards her through the gloom, and saw a giant grey octopus-like monster waving its suckered tentacles. ..." At the latest this sentence completely convinced me of the final. At this point the young heroine of this children's book series obviously faces the great Cthulhu. It's never told in the story and to be honest I doubt that the author had this parallel in mind, but I willingly interpret it in this way. Because What do you want more, when you have to illustrate that story? :)
But parents, don't worry, it's a pretty nice story appropriated for children anyway ;)
