Cornelsen Mathe Klick! 10

Vor kurzem ist der letzte Band der Klick! Mathematik-Reihe erschienen, für die 10te Förderschulklasse. Das bedeutet, dass die Reihe damit abgeschlossen ist, und ich mich von "meiner" Klasse verabschieden muss, die ich von klein auf (ab Band 3) illustrieren und größer werden lassen durfte. Es hat Spass gemacht!

The last volumne - for the 10th grade - of the Cornelsen Klick! math schoolbook-series is out for some time past! That means, that the series is completed and that I have to say goodbye to "my" class, that I illustrated and let grow from an early age (class 3). It was fun!

And the same post as every year... the new Cornelsen math-school- and workbooks are out and my kids are now in the 9th grade. It's the last but one and I'm already a bit sad seeing them spreading their wings... *sniff* ...some illus from the book:
Und wie jedes Jahr... das neue Cornelsen Mathe-Schulbuch und -Arbeitsheft ist frisch raus und meine Kids sind jetzt in der 9ten Klasse. Es ist die vorletzte und ich bin schon jetzt etwas traurig, sie flügge werden zu sehen... *schnief* ...einige Illus aus dem Buch:

...I'm working on the annualy redesign of my Corni-kids - or rather adolescents now - and they are all becoming so damn stylish... I'm jealous^^
Ich sitz gerade an der jährlichen Neugestaltung meiner Corni-Kids - oder besser gesagt Jugendlichen - und die werden alle so stylish... ich bin schon ganz neidisch^^

The Cornelsen math-school- and workbooks for the 8th grade are out for some time past! Regrettably the older my kids get, the less illustrations are needed for the book (as if thriteen years olds don't like to disfigure illustrations in school books any longer...)
Anyways, here are some illus from the book:
Die Cornelsen Mathe-Schul- und Arbeitsbücher sind seit einiger Zeit raus! Leider werden immer weniger Illus für das Buch gebraucht, je älter die Kinder werden (als wenn 13jährige nicht mehr gerne Illus in Büchern verunstalten würden...)

Math paintings (Cornelsen Klick! 7)

How time flies! Not so very long ago my Klick!-children were little 3rd-grade-brats and whoosh, they are half-adult teenagers in the 7th class!
The seventh Klick!-book was published at the beginning of this school year and as always the care of my pupils had been a whale of a time! I'm just working on the eighth book and I'm gradually getting stressed by my kids... puberty and stuff... you know that ;)
Wie doch die Zeit vergeht! Vor nicht langer Zeit waren meine Klick-Kinder noch kleine Blagen inner dritten Klasse und schwupps, schon sind sie halberwachsene Teenager in der 7ten!
Das siebte Klick!-Buch ist Anfang dieses Schuljahres erschienen und wie immer hat die Betreuung meiner Schüler einen Heidenspaß gemacht! Ich sitz gerade am achten Band, und langsam wird's anstrengend mit den Bälger... Pubertät und so... man kennt das ja ;)

MATH-terpiece (Cornelsen Klick! 6)

Good morning, pupils, sit down, it's time for math again!

The school- and working books for the 6th grade will be released soon and I it's more and more fun to illustrate them. Like I told you in the last post on that subject, "my" book-pupils are growing from book to book and it's fun to give them more and more character and own personality (as much charakter and personality as kids in a schoolbook can have).
This time I even had the possibilitiy to place some personal insiders in the illustrations, like friends that play the part of teachers or parents (yo, Krazy-K, you see Murat's dad?) ;P Not to mention the close friendship between Tim and Anna (the resemblance to real existing illustrators is intended by all means). So it's still fun and I'm glad that there will be four more books for me to illustrate.







Did I ever introduce my kids to you? Well, on this older picture from Klick! 5 they introduce themselves :)

I would never have thought that I would ever have so much fun with math books. I hated math at school and all I wanted at that time was a WEAPON OF MATH DESTRUCTION (HAHAha, oh man, I had to tell that one...)

Klick! Mathematik

In the last month I worked on two new books for Cornelsen's Klick!-Mathematik series. With every issue of the series the pupils in the books are getting older and the drawings change more and more from children's book to a comic-book style.
